Privacy Policy
Lattice works offline and needs no account. Your puzzle progress stays on your device. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, which involves an advertising identifier and limited ad-related data. Lattice Complete — our one-time purchase — removes every ad and the ad SDK never loads, so premium players are never tracked for advertising. We run no other analytics SDKs.
The short version
Lattice works offline and needs no account. Your puzzle progress stays on your device. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, which involves an advertising identifier and limited ad-related data. Lattice Complete — our one-time purchase — removes every ad and the ad SDK never loads, so premium players are never tracked for advertising. We run no other analytics SDKs.
Ads on the free version
The free version of Lattice shows ads — a banner on the home gallery and an optional rewarded ad you can watch to earn a hint. These ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC), acting as our advertising partner and data processor. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share with Google: your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and similar device identifiers; ad-interaction and usage data (e.g. that an ad was shown, viewed, or tapped); coarse, non-precise information such as device type, OS version, and general region inferred from your IP address; and diagnostic data about ad delivery. This data is used to deliver ads, cap frequency, measure performance, and detect fraud. We do not sell your data, and Lattice itself does not build a profile of you. Google's use of data is described in Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Lattice Complete = no ads, no ad tracking
When you buy the one-time Lattice Complete unlock, all ads are permanently removed and the Google Mobile Ads SDK is not loaded at all. Premium players have no advertising identifier collected and are not tracked for ads.
Your ad choices and consent
App Tracking Transparency. Before any ad tracking, iOS asks your permission via Apple's ATT prompt; if you decline, Lattice does not use the IDFA to track you and you may still see non-personalized ads (change anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
Apple SKAdNetwork. We use Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork to measure campaigns without sharing your identity with us.
EEA/UK/Switzerland (GDPR). We show a Google-certified consent message (Google User Messaging Platform) before serving ads, where you can consent to or refuse personalized ads; legal bases are your consent for personalized ads and our legitimate interest in limited non-personalized ads to support free play.
What leaves your device for gameplay
Opt-in leaderboard. If you choose "Post to today's board" in Endless, we send your chosen display name, the day's seed, and your move list to our server, which recomputes your score and stores name + score for up to 14 days — not linked to your identity (no accounts, emails, or device identifiers).
Daily verification. Solved daily boards may be verified against our server; the request contains only the puzzle and your placements — no identifiers.
What we don't collect
Outside of advertising, we don't collect your name, email, location, contacts, or photos, and we run no third-party analytics SDKs. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. On the free version, advertising data is collected and shared only as described above. Lattice Complete removes ads and that data collection entirely.
Children
Lattice is rated 4+ but is a general-audience game, not a "Made for Kids" app. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob as described above; it is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the limited advertising data described here. If you prefer no ads and no advertising data collection, the one-time Lattice Complete purchase removes them.
Data retention & your rights
Leaderboard name + score are deleted after 14 days. Advertising data handled by Google is retained per Google's policies; you can reset your advertising identifier in iOS Settings anytime to limit ad profiling. For questions or requests, email us below.
Changes
If we change how Lattice handles data, we'll update this page and its effective date.
